Cell Sourcing Guide
LiFePO4 cell selection guide for battery PACK procurement.
Choosing cells for a lithium battery project is not only a capacity comparison. Buyers need to connect electrical parameters, consistency, cycle life, temperature range, mechanical fit and certification needs.
1. Confirm voltage and capacity first
Start with nominal voltage, target pack voltage, capacity and energy. A 3.2V LiFePO4 cell such as REPT-50Ah becomes useful only after the series-parallel structure is defined for the final PACK.
2. Review discharge and charge current
Continuous current, peak current, charge current and cut-off voltage shape BMS selection and thermal design. For industrial and telecom projects, current margin matters as much as rated capacity.
3. Check consistency and cycle life
Cell consistency affects module balance, usable capacity and long-term service life. Ask for grading, aging, traceability and cycle-life references before bulk procurement.
4. Match the cell to the application
Telecom backup, commercial ESS, AGV, medical equipment and road lighting all impose different requirements on temperature range, enclosure, maintenance and certification.
5. Prepare a structured inquiry
Send model, quantity, target market, application, voltage, capacity, current, dimensions, connector, enclosure and certification needs to reduce back-and-forth during quotation.
